Regression is a good thing!
It rained today. Scattered isolated thunder showers. And I do mean Showers. My new partner in crime at work.. we will call her Quarters.. was out in the warehouse with me when we heard the first crack of thunder, and the far off fast approaching pounding of rain. It hit, we smiled, and ran out to play in it. Fully clothed for work, hair previously in place, make-up applied.. all went to hell for 5 minutes of playing in the rain. Somedays.. you just gotta let the inner wild child loose. The opprotunities are there, just gotta have the courage to take em.

Phoenix....
Raven, Charlotte and I went to Phoenix this weekend to see Phantom of the Opera performed by the London Tour group. We left early Friday morning.. came home early Sunday morning. Multitudes of Shennigans occured and pics will be included once I have them. So stayed tuned for travel tips from Carrie.

I'm a wuss!
I eat my food very slowly. I chew endlessly on tiny nidbit of food. A lunch hour for me literally consists of chewing steadily for an hour. Some people think it's just because I'm slow, or perhaps because I'm talking instead of eating, and there are probably some people out there who just think I'm all prissy. There are only a select few who have had the unlucky advantage of seeing first hand why I eat the way I do. I have an extremely small throat, medical thing. If I swallow too large a bite my reflexes will actually force the object back up. No amount of water will push it down, in fact adding anything on top to force it down makes the entire process more painful. In line with this problem, I can't swallow large pills either. It must be capsule shaped and no larger than a Tylenol. Circle Advils will come back up, Circle Tylenols will come back up and don't get me started on those damn Nyquil pills. Nuh uh! NO way. So, yesterday in the doctor's office, I must say God Bless the understanding nurse who didn't laugh at me when I asked if she knew how large the anti-biotics were. Instead, she got the perscription changed to Chewables.

Disturbing....
I'm sick. I have a very nice throat and sinus infection. So, like any good little karoake freak, I ran to the hospital yesterday cause the idea of NOT being able to sing this week was too much to handle. Blah Blah Blah.. Waiting room.. paperwork.. Whatever.. Finally the Triage Nurse calls me back to get my blood pressure, temp and various other things. The nurse was an older man, he is the reason for my disturbance. I'm not sure if he was just old school and trying to be funny, or if he was some twisted old pervert.. but I couldn't get out of that room fast enough when the old man told me... "Now you come in here drinking that cold soda I'm not going to be able to get an accurate reading orally. Guess I'll just have to bend you over my knee and get it rectally"

Be afraid.. be very afraid...
You know how new drivers.. the ones just learning.. how they tend to steer the car in whatever direction they turn their head? Like they can't check the lane next to them without moving the entire car into that lane? My daughter will be one of those. My poor, adorable, wonderful 4 year old baby girl is challanged. She is completely incapable of walking a straight line and talking to someone or looking in a different direction. I can't tell you how many times my little goose has walked into a door knob, or the car door or a drawer. And the worst of it is that this problem has begun to occur now that she is at an adequete height for door knobs and drawers.. counter tops. The child turns her head and her entire body goes right with her. I want it known now that I do NOT abuse my daughter.. The door knobs and counter tops and just about any standing obstacle in or around her direct or indirect path does it all.

They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to
appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget
them. Take the time... to live and love.



Okay.. as far as advertising goes.. this is no where NEAR as effective
as Mastercard's Priceless commercials.

A minute to find them....
Hopefully it lasts longer than that.

An hour to appreciate them....
I would think you'd know if you could appreciate what they have to
offer in the first few minutes.

A day to love them....
Um.. usually people in general run screaming in the other direction
if you tell them you love them within a day.

An entire life to forget them....
Well now that just isn't fair. Sounds like a bad bargain all the way around.
